It’s what I did this afternoon.

My dad got home from work today, so I made a nice big dinner. Fried chicken, boiled new potatoes, white-wine marinated artichokes with garlic-thyme mayonnaise, fresh salad, and apricot pie for dessert.

Gluten-free apricot pie (my first ever)

The pie was unlovely, but tasty. I let the dough warm up too much as I worked with it, so it was just crumbly, rather than flaky. The moon cut-outs are care of a linzer cookie-cutter set my aunt gave me for Christmas. The star was done with a paring knife.
